Restoring Transit Ridership Confidence

October 20, 2020

APTA’s Health & Safety Commitment Program

Sponsored by: Yuma County Area Transit (YCAT)

Session Description:

The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) created a Mobility Restoration & Recovery Task Force in April to begin the process of developing an industry response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Work focused on operational cleaning and sanitation guidance and best practices, priorities coming out of the pandemic, and ways to restore confidence in riding transit. This session will focus on the research that led to creation of the APTA Health & Safety Commitments Program, and the materials that are available for transit agencies to use to help grow public confidence in the use of transit as the national economy recovers.
