Total Transit Retains Valley Metro Contract

Phoenix, AZ– Valley Metro has awarded a renewal of its West Valley Fixed Route Bus Service Contract to Total Transit, with a five-year base contract, a three-year option, and one additional two-year option. 

Total Transit will continue to provide operations and maintenance services for approximately 600,000 passengers annually, utilizing 75 employees and 44 buses serving West Phoenix.

Chris R.S. Hager will continue to serve as General Manager to Valley Metro. “Chris and his team will continue their strong focus on safety, maintenance, customer service, and driver relations to ensure continuity of the service and the high quality to which Valley Metro has grown accustomed,” according to Steve Hamelin, Chief Operating Officer for Total Transit.

Total Transit will be responsible for scheduling, staffing, and maintenance of the Valley Metro-owned fleet.
