August 26, 2018

For Immediate Release

Contacts: Bruce D. Morrow, Transportation Manager, 634-2287 x2755;

Cottonwood Area Transit (CAT) is pleased to announce that it has transported 1 million passengers since 2012 when Cottonwood and Sedona separated from NAIPTA and took over the Verde Lynx and CAT transportation services. This is a major milestone and one we are extremely proud of and are very thankful to the communities of Clarkdale, Sedona and Cottonwood for continuing to support us through the transition. Without your support, we wouldn’t have made it to this point.

To celebrate the occasion, CAT will be providing FREE rides on all services on Friday, August 31. In addition, all riders 18 and older will be invited to enter a drawing for a FREE, All Access Pass, good for riding any bus any time, valid for 1 YEAR. Drivers will have the tickets and when you have completed them, drop them in the fare box. Winner will be selected at random from all the entries collected from the fare boxes on August 31. Winner will be notified by email or phone. For more information, contact us at the CAT Offices at 928-634-2287.

CAT provides ADA Paratransit service and four fixed routes serving Cottonwood, Clarkdale and Verde Villages, as well as Verde Lynx commuter service to Sedona. CAT also connects with Yavapai-Apache Nation Transit to provide connections to Camp Verde and Greyhound.
